A face-to-face digital inclusion pilot built around the real online tasks that can quietly become barriers: public services, scams, jobs, accounts, devices and everyday confidence.

01 / Clinic desk

Bring the problem.
Not the jargon.

The pilot is deliberately task-led. Pick an example to see the same support journey through a resident or funder lens.

TASK / 01

NHS + council

Forms, portals, appointments and everyday public services.

Bring the task that is blocking you. We work through it with you, on your own device where possible, without taking over your account.
Aim to leave withLeave with the task completed where possible, plus a clearer route for doing it again.

02 / Fenland service loop

Four places.
One small system.

Main clinics create a dependable base while lighter outreach extends reach through existing community activity. The area of benefit is intentionally narrow enough to deliver well and learn from.

03 / Delivery rhythm

Small enough to deliver.
Useful enough to learn from.

The 10-week active delivery window sits inside a wider October-to-February set-up, delivery and close period.

01
Set-up

Confirm accessible venues, outreach hosts, dates, printed materials and referral routes before active delivery.
02

Second part of the 10-week active delivery window: four drop-in clinics plus two outreach sessions, targeted follow-up and referrals.

Feb 2027
Review anonymised outcomes, spend and feedback, then provide a concise funder update.
04 / Evidence

Measure the change.
Not the paperwork.

These are proposed targets, not delivered results. Monitoring stays intentionally light and anonymous.

06 / Safety boundary

Helpful without taking over.

The pilot does

Guide + practise

  • Residents stay in control of their own accounts and devices.
  • Support focuses on practical digital access and confidence.
  • Monitoring is minimal, anonymous and proportionate.
  • Onward referrals are used when a task needs specialist advice.
The pilot does not

Hold credentials

  • No passwords, PINs or one-time security codes are recorded.
  • No financial, legal or medical advice is provided.
  • No claim is made that every digital problem can be resolved in-session.
  • No venue or delivery partnership is presented as agreed before confirmation.
07 / After the grant

Leave something useful behind.

The pilot is short. The useful parts should not disappear when the last session ends.

01
Reusable guides

Plain-language printed material that can continue helping residents after sessions end.

02
Portable access kit

A small reusable kit that can support future community-based digital help.

03
Referral routes

A clearer local pathway for needs that sit outside the pilot’s safe scope.

04
Tested format

A practical session model shaped by real use rather than assumptions.

05
Anonymised learning

A concise picture of the digital barriers residents most often bring.

08 / Proposed partnership shape

Build on trust already there.

Connected Fenland is an initiative rather than a constituted organisation. The preferred route is a genuine local delivery partnership, not an artificial structure created simply to access funding.
